Professional Experience

Walter Armatys was elected Judge of the 328th Judicial District Court of Fort Bend County in 2018. He previously served as Associate Judge of this court beginning in 2006. Armatys has presided over thousands of Family Law cases. Prior to taking the bench, he prosecuted child abuse and child neglect cases for the Fort Bend County District Attorney and subsequently, for the Fort Bend County Attorney. Before becoming a prosecutor, he served as a Family Law attorney in private practice.

EXPERIENCED

• Six years in private family practice in Fort Bend County, six years as a Child Abuse Prosecutor before taking the bench
• Eleven years as Associate Judge in the 328th District Court handling tough family law cases
• Four years as elected District Court Judge of the 328th District Court

ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY

• Life Member of the Fort Bend County Fair
• Co-chairman of the Exceptional Rodeo for challenged kids
• Volunteer with Fort Bend Ramps, building wheelchair ramps for people in need
• Bible Study teacher for over 25 years at Faith United Methodist Church

COMMITTED TO CHILDREN

• Will continue the Infants and Toddlers Program that has proven results in reuniting children with parents in a safe environment
